Obituary

Tony William Julien of Kalamazoo, MI formerly of Allegan MI, age 77, passed away at home July 26, 2020 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.
Tony was born June 22, 1943 to Harold “Shorty” Julien and Frances (Ballay) Wagner of Otsego, MI.
After attending Martin High School, he proudly joined the US ARMY. During his life you could find him racing horses, hunting, or fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman. He lived for his multiple annual hunting and fishing trips that he took with his uncles, brothers, nephews and cousins. He worked most of his life doing construction. During his retirement – you could find him collecting (or selling) his treasures at local flea markets, playing Dominos with family or just spending time with family. Family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Janet Julien; his mother Frances Wagner of Kalamazoo, MI. Children- Jenny Julien of GR; Brett Julien (John Meberg) of Boynton Beach, FL; Sheryl (Scott) Morse of Otsego, MI; Tricia (Mike) Julien-Krcma of Allegan, MI and Tonya (James) Ghist of Loxley, AL.; Cliff (Geri) Hall of Baldwin, MI; Theresa Hall, Grand Rapids, MI and Patricia Post of Lansing, MI. Siblings - Sandra (Frank) Ogden; Kay Julien-Moss; John (Diane) Julien; George (Maria) Julien and Frank Wagner. He has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Also surviving are his Aunt Emily Kubin, Aunt Ilene Oetman and Uncle Edwin Ballay.
Tony was preceded in death by his father and his son (Timothy Julien) and brother in law Glenn Moss.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bronson Hospital GMU (such supportive staff) and Wings of Hope Hospice for getting him home to spend his last hours with family and friends.
Tony proudly served in the United States Army, private family Inurnment at Fort Custer National Cemetery has taken place. Due to Covid-19 Restrictions - Celebration of life gathering to be scheduled at a later date.
