Linda K. Clatch of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away on July 19, 2020 after an unwavering and courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 14, 1955 and was a 1973 graduate of Forest Hills Central High School. Linda loved to travel and a highlight of her bucket list was an Alaskan cruise last fall. She was a railway enthusiast, an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Comet and Blitzen, and visiting with family and friends. Linda was a Navy Ombudsman on the USS Hoel (DDG13) and the USS MacDonough (DDG39) serving as the primary communications link between the families and the commad, and the channel of official information from the command to the families. Linda devoted her career to the success of others as a Commercial Lines Manager for Lake MIchigan Insurance and for VanTol, Magennis & Lang before retiring last summer.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband and "Forever and Eternal" soul mate of forty-two years, Terry A Clatch, sister Barbara Miller, brother Mark(Judi) Riehl, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marcie Riehl. The family would like to thank Faith Hospice for their care and compassion during Linda's illness.
Linda was cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to Hopenetwork.org for Salome Home where her niece is a resident.
