To Kim's family, children, and friends, I share your grief as I remember a great friend and co-worker. Kim was a gem. If you didn't want to hear the truth don't ask Kim. She was blessing to me and to so many others. She experienced a darker side of life and never forgot the struggle to see her way out. She was always there to help someone else see their way out of the darkness. She gave without expecting anything in return.
Last summer we went out to lunch to a local pizza restaurant that just opened. We ate our pizza and then I suggested we needed something to counterbalance the pizza sauce. We jumped back in the car and drove to Culver's for a double scoop frozen custard Sundae. We felt like we had just gotten away with breaking all the rules. Filled to the gills, we laughed like school girls all the way back to work. I'll miss your laugh and your shoulder to cry on. Until we meet again.
