George “Pete” Pendowski, 77, of Allegan, passed away on Thursday, February 4th, 2021 at his home after a long battle with lung cancer and COPD.
Pete was born, September 5th, 1943 to Chester and Helen (Willett) Pendowski in Decatur Michigan. He was in the Army for several years. Pete loved working on cars and spent most of his life working as an auto body technician. Recently, Pete enjoyed spending time at the casino and taking care of his cats.
Pete is preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Pendowski, parents Chester and Helen Pendowski, and siblings Marybeth Pendowski and Tuck Pendowski.
Pete is survived by one son Tony Pendowski, a sister Alice (Lyle) Bush of Allegan, two brothers Chester “Skeeter” (Faye) Pendowski of Mississippi, and Rick Pendowski of Mississippi, several stepchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Those wishing to honor Pete’s memory are asked to do a good deed for a neighbor just like his neighbor Tawny did for him. Tawny Deuling helped take care of Pete after his wife passed away and helped him during his last days.
