It was so nice to sit and listen to Uncle Don talk about the past. He always had a smile on his face. I will miss you but you and mom are catching up. I love you; until we see each other again. Love, Denise

Don and I worked together both at the Allegan County Sheriffs Office and at the Allegan County Fair. Don's smile and positive attitude turned what could have been difficult situations into workable solutions on many occasions. It also helped that we all knew he could only be pushed so far and it was best to not cross that line. He will be fondly remembered, and missed by his friends and coworkers.
