Daniel James Lenger of Byron Center, age 37, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, after an accident on the water leading to a severe brain bleed. Daniel was born on June 16, 1983, to Scott Lenger and Denise (Scott) Jackson. Dan will lovingly be remembered by his son, Enoch Lenger, his parents, Scott and Terri Lenger, and Denise and Jolan Jackson, siblings Nick and Joy Lenger, Tim and Marissa Lenger, and Rachel Lenger and Nick Woodward, nieces and nephews Brody, Calli, Sawyer, Landon, Emmi, and Sutton, grandmothers Joan Lenger, Cleo Elve, and Kathy Hasselbring, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and the mother of his son, Desca Lenger. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Si Lenger, J.I. Scott, Bud Elve, and Chuck Hasselbring.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cornerstone Church (1675 84th St. SE Caledonia, MI 49316) on Sunday, August 2, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a time of greeting at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan’s honor to Guiding Light Mission (255 S. Division, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). Daniel’s loved ones remember him first and foremost as a father who adored his son, Enoch. He is remembered as a compassionate and giving person, a friend to anyone and everyone. Dan would wish for any person reading this to laugh a little more, give a little more, and love a lot more.
