Betty was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She attended 3 years of Nursing School at Rochester General Hospital attaining her RN degree. Betty raised their four children as she and John moved to several locations in NY, and MI all the while putting her nursing skills to use in hospitals, Dr's offices and bandaging up the neighborhood kids. She had the ability to make ordinary events seem special, loved board games, arts and crafts, making her famous peanut butter marshmallow clusters, called her grandchildren's ideas ""genius"" even when they weren't, built endless sand castles at the cottage on Lake Michigan and leaves us all wondering what she loved more, a good deal or a good dessert. We all knew we were deeply loved and extraordinarily special to her, as she was to us.
